Scholarships

These awards are sponsored by the Parent Advisory Council and were established in 2005. The deadline for these applications is April 15th of the current school year.

PAC Scholarship

Number of Awards: 3

Top Academic
Trades and Technical
Arts and Humanities

Amount of Award: $500.00

Eligibility: Open to Gr. 12 students who attended SCIDES as a fulltime student for Grades 11 and 12.

Criteria:

Top Academic:
Have achieved a minimum of 86% in all courses, and have demonstrated good character and citizenship.

Trades and Technical / Art and Humanities:
Have achieved a minimum of 75% in all courses, and have demonstrated good character and citizenship.

Selection Process for all awards: Selected by the School’s Student Achievement Committee.
Special Conditions: This award is paid directly by the donor. A letter of reference, from a non-relative, which indicates the student’s characteristics of honesty, trustworthiness, reliability and good character is required.

The award is conditional on enrolment in any program that is six months or longer in duration at a recognized post-secondary institution. The student must enroll in the program no longer than one year following graduation.
